Acetylene Black is a conductive carbon black. It is high purity form of carbon black made from the thermal decomposition of acetylene gas. Available in powder and granular forms, standard and battery grades.

Due to increased crystallization and a more developed secondary structure, Acetylene Black has higher absorption and conductivity levels than standard carbon black grades. Acetylene Black grades are UV stable and provide excellent pigmentation for a variety of applications including paints, silicone, plastics, and rubber. When used in lubricants such as grease, Acetylene Black enhances lubricity, strength, and stability in high temperatures.
